Just a guy,and some Bees.

I'm just a lad from a small town outside of Manchester who started beekeeping with one simple goal — to know exactly what was in the honey I was eating. What I found along the way opened my eyes. So I did something about it.

Our Story

From Hive to Jar

Built on honesty, passion, and a genuine respect for bees and the craft of beekeeping.

Matley Honey Co. Champions of Honey. Manchester Based.

Not all honey is what it seems. So MATLEY Honey Co was built on one simple rule: everything you'll find here is real, raw honey — just as the bees made it. Nothing added. Nothing taken away.

“Every jar represents care for the bees, respect for the seasons, and a dedication to doing things properly.”

Beekeeping isn't just a hobby — it's a commitment. Early mornings, weekly inspections, constant learning, and working with nature, not against it. While my own colonies grow, I also work with trusted local beekeepers who share the same values, ensuring every jar I supply meets the standard I set for myself.

Real honey isn't just about taste (although it's miles better). It's about supporting local beekeepers, protecting pollinators, and knowing exactly where your food comes from. In a world where shortcuts are common, I've chosen to go the other way.

One of the best parts of this journey is the people. Whether it's a chat on the doorstep, messages from across the UK, or even orders heading overseas — it means everything. This started small, and it's growing because of you.

The Honey

Local Bees. Local Beekeepers. Proper Honey.

Raw and unprocessed. Never blended or bulked out. If I can't be sure of it, I won't sell it. Simple as that.

How Our Honey Is Sourced

While my own bees continue to grow and produce, I also work closely with a small number of trusted beekeepers who share the same standards and values as I do. Every honey I supply is raw and unprocessed, never blended or bulked out, and sourced with honesty and care.

I only work with beekeepers who can confidently stand behind their honey — where it comes from, how it's produced, and how it's handled from hive to jar. This means you'll find a variety of honeys from different areas, each with its own unique flavour, colour and character — just as nature intended.
